Truck drivers are the backbone of the cold chain. Their routes form the essential network of transportation that ensures our food, medicine, and other perishables remain safe and fresh. A critical link within the cold chain, drivers are responsible for transporting temperature-sensitive goods across long distances, often in challenging weather conditions and under time-sensitive deadlines. Our truck drivers are also vigilant in monitoring their loads to ensure that they remain within safe temperature ranges, and travel with a focus on safety, security, and economy. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them. And neither would our customers.
During the second week of September, we relished the opportunity to celebrate the individuals who move us—participating in National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. PROs across the country hosted cookouts, potlucks, catered lunches, and handed out new company swag and other driver-friendly gifts.
